In an effort to advance Pakistani football, Yasser Al Misehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), and Haroon Malik, Chairman of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalization Committee (NC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today.
This partnership is unprecedented in Pakistani football history and will undoubtedly help the sport there.
A cooperative framework between PFF and SAFF will be formed in accordance with the MoU. The success, expansion, and promotion of football are the goals of the Memorandum of Understanding for both football federations.
There are also plans to create a detailed schedule for the Men’s Youth National Team and Women’s National Team for 2024. Examining the potential for friendly relations between the two countries in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan is another key objective of this Memorandum of Understanding. The federations will also set up frequent virtual meetings among their athletic departments to share knowledge in a variety of fields, including marketing, youth and women’s football, VAR technology, refereeing, sports science, and football-related technologies. It is anticipated that this cooperative strategy will greatly advance the growth of football in both nations.
In addition to NC member Saud Hashimi, SAFF General Secretary Ibrahim Alkassim was there to witness the signing.
“I want to thank the Saudi Federation for the MoU and their wholehearted support in improving football in Pakistan. This marks a significant milestone as Saudi Arabia is now making its first-ever engagement in Pakistan football. It is indeed to reshape the future of football in our country,” Haroon Malik stated.
As he considered this momentous occasion, Saud Hashmani stated, “The Saudi Federation has made very significant investments in football systems and infrastructure.” They understand the need for PFF to advance football in Pakistan, and Pakistan will gain from their kindness for years to come. We’re excited to integrate their top techniques within the PFF.”
