Myco – Pakistan’s fastest growing video streaming platform proudly announces the upcoming release of its biopic (short documentary) – Naan to Knockouts – capturing the gripping, real-life journey of World Muay Thai Champion (Martial Arts athlete) Nisar Ahmed, widely known as “Nisar Boxer” in Martial Arts circles.
The documentary charts Nisar’s staggering rise from Killa Abdullah, a remote village in Balochistan, to the global stage. Orphaned at the age of 7 years and losing his mother when he was just 12, Nisar was sent alone by family elders, to the sprawling metropolis of Karachi without even knowing Urdu. Sleeping and working 12-hour shifts at roadside cafes, he fiercely pursued his education and discovered an innate passion for combat sports. In 2016 he joined Tiger Martial Arts Academy under coach Iqrar Khan.
The biopic pulls back the curtain on the invisible sacrifices of Nisar’s personal and professional evolution—juggling intense manual labour with grueling training, which eventually led him to win 4 gold medals and 1 silver medal at National Kickboxing Championships.
It highlights his breakthrough after joining AKS-Dojo™ in 2023, where he mastered athletic discipline and mental well-being, culminating in his historic 2024 crowning as the World Muay Federation Pro-Am Muay Thai Champion in Bangkok, Thailand. Nisar is the first fighter from Pakistan to ever achieve this world title.
‘When I studied Nisar’s track record, I witnessed this boy has had a very challenging life. His life circumstances were full of all kinds of adversities, as far as his professional life, even personal life was concerned,’ says Adil K. Sattar, Founder of AKS-Dojo.
