People who move to Paris certainly aren’t disappointed by the city’s incredible sites, wealth of culture and exceptional cuisine. Unfortunately, the harsh reality of living in the French capital is much different with a manic rush hour, coffees for €6 and the highest rents of any European capital.
UBS estimated the cost of renting a newly-built apartment in some of the world’s major cities and in Europe, Paris has the highest rents at €2,535. That is more than in many countries that are renowned for their high prices such a Switzerland and Norway. London comes second in the rental league at €2,263 while Luxembourg rounds off the top-three with €2,203.
