The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to hold an eight-day training camp prior to the Asia Cup 2018, which is scheduled to take place in the UAE from September 15 to 30.
According to the sources, PCB has decided to conduct the training camp in order to judge players’ performance and their fitness level to frame a competitive 15 man squad for the Asia Cup.
According to the proposed schedule, the players will undergo physical training followed by batting, bowling and fielding sessions at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Sarfraz led Pakistan team will reach the UAE four days before the start ofthe crucial event to adjust themselves in the conditions.

Currently, the national players are spending time with their families and will regroup for the camp. The PCB is also thinking to gather all the players in Abbottabad two to three days before the eight-day training camp.
It is pertinent to mention that the selection committee headed by Inzamam-ul-Haq is expected to announce the squad for Asia Cup by next week.
Sources closed to the selection committee have confirmed that all-rounder Imad Wasim, who is currently playing in Carribean Premier League (CPL), is likely to earn a place in the squad
