ZONG ENTERS INTO STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH UBL:
Zong has entered into a strategic partnership with United Bank Limited. The two companies signed an MoU for Mobile Broadband (MBB) under which UBL credit card customers and UBL employees will get MBB devices with upfront purchase of 12 months MBB bundles. LG nearly doubled its operating income to KRW 921.5 billion (USD 798.3 million) with the Home Appliance & Air Solutions Company posting its highest quarterly operating income in eight years.

POLICE TO USE FACIAL RECOGNITION AT CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL:
Police in Wales plan to use facial recognition on fans during the Champions League final in Cardiff on 3 June, according to a government contract posted online. Faces will be scanned at the Principality Stadium and Cardiff’s central railway station.
CASHH OFFERED AFTER DRONES DISRUPT FLIGHTS IN CHINA:
Chinese drone maker DJI is offering up to one million yuan (£112,000) for information about drones that disrupted scores of flights at a Chinese airport. On four days this month – 14, 17, 18 and 21 – drones were blamed for stranding thousands of passengers at Chengdu Shuangliu International.

A bug in Microsoft Word was exploited by hackers for months before it was eventually fixed, according to security researchers. The flaw allowed attackers to take control of a computer via malicious document files.
TURKISH AUTHORITIES BLOCK WIKIPEDIA WITHOUT GIVING REASON:
Turkey has blocked all access inside the country to the online encyclopaedia Wikipedia. Officials said “an administrative measure” had been taken, but gave no reason why. Turkish media said authorities had asked Wikipedia to remove content by writers “supporting terror”.

The US National Security Agency (NSA) is to end surveillance on messages sent by US citizens that mention foreign intelligence targets. The NSA was allowed to collect this information without a warrant thanks to a US law passed in 2008.
HACKER STEALS AND SHARES URELEASED TV SHOWS:
A malicious hacker has reportedly released 10 episodes of the new series of TV show ‘Orange is the New Black’. The episodes are believed to have been uploaded to file-sharing sites across the net after US media firm Netflix refused to pay a ransom.
TWITTER SIGNS DEAL WITH BLOOMBERG ON ROLLING VIDEO NEWS:
Twitter is working with media firm Bloomberg to create a 24-hour rolling news channel for the messaging service. The live video stream will be made up of original programming as well as feeds from Bloomberg bureaus.
APPLE SEES SURPRISE FALL IN IPHONE SALES:
Apple sold fewer iPhones than a year ago in the first three months of 2017, the company said in its latest results. The California firm, which is due to release a new phone later this year, said it sold 50.8 million iPhones in the period, down 1% year-on-year.
