The price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs400, reaching Rs227,300 on Tuesday (March 19), compared to Rs226,900 from the previous trading day.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold witnessed a rise of Rs343, now standing at Rs194,873 versus Rs194,530 previously. The 22-karat gold also saw an increase, with the price of 10 grams rising to Rs178,634 from Rs178,319.
Both the per tola and ten-gram silver prices remained stable, holding at Rs2,580 and Rs2,211.93, respectively.
Internationally, the price of gold experienced a modest increase of $3, climbing to $2,173 from $2,170, according to the Association.
Experts in the bullion market attributed these fluctuations to the prevailing trends in the global market. The interconnectedness of financial markets worldwide underscores the impact of factors such as geopolitical tensions, economic indicators, and currency fluctuations on the value of precious metals like gold.
