Samsung May Release an Entry-Level 5nm Smartphone Chip Next Week:
When a new generation of chipset technology is introduced, it rolls out to flagship or top-of-the-line devices first before making it to the affordable and cheaper ones. Exynos 2100 was Samsung’s first 5nm flagship smartphone chip in 2020 but the technology soon made it to the company’s first mid-range chip, the Exynos 1080. Now the company plans to introduce the 5nm chip technology to entry-level smartphone chips if a new leak from tipster Ice Universe is to be believed. He believes that Samsung is working on a 5nm chip for entry-level phones and it will be lower-end than the Exynos 1080.

META Trademark’s Real Owner Asks Zuckerberg’s Meta to Pay $20 Million:
CEO Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, last week announced that all Facebook-owned subsidiaries will be collectively called Meta. However, it has come to light that an Arizona-based startup, Meta PC, had already applied for the trademark “META” a couple of months before Zuckerberg’s announcement. Data with the US Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) shows that Meta PC had actually applied for the “META” trademark on 23 August this year. Boeing Gets Approval for its Satellite Internet Project:

Game publisher Electronic Arts (EA) has told investors that collectible NFTs are “an important part of the future of our industry”. Eric Adams, mayor-elect for New York City, has said he would like his first three pay checks in bitcoin. The former police captain was elected this week to take over at the end of mayor Bill de Blasio’s term in January. Nintendo warns chip shortage will hit Switch sales:
Nintendo has lowered forecasts for sales of its Switch handheld games console by 1.5 million units. Climate change: Facebook fails to flag denial, study finds:
Climate change denial is spreading unchecked on Facebook, two studies by disinformation researchers have found. The Center for Countering Digital Hate and the Institute for Strategic Dialogue said less than 10% of misleading posts were marked as misinformation. Database firm Clearview AI told to remove photos taken in Australia:
A firm which claims to have a database of more than 10 billion facial images has breached Australia’s privacy laws, Australian regulators say. Clearview AI lets law enforcement agencies search its database of faces. But the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) ordered it to stop collecting photos taken in Australia and remove ones already in its collection. A lawyer representing the firm said it would seek a review of the decision.
