Toyota is the world’s sixth-largest company by revenue and it employs more than 360,000 people. It was founded all the way back in 1937 and in the years since, Toyota has become a massive multinational corporation, displacing General Motors as the world’s largest automobile manufacturer in 2008. Highlighting its global presence, Toyota has factories all over the world with six major assembly plants in the United States alone with others in South Africa, Turkey, Colombia, the UK, France, Brazil, China and Russia, to name a few countries.

Given the company’s success, where is Toyota the most popular car brand? The following infographic was created using data from bestsellingcarsblog.com and mapsoftheworld.com. It shows that in Australia, South Africa, Argentina and particularly the Middle East, nothing beats a Toyota. The brand is also hugely popular in Asia and it’s the best selling automobile in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. It’s also the most popular car brand in its home country.
