Earlier this week, President Trump fired his secretary of state, Rex Tillerson. He announced the firing in a tweet, adding that he intends replacing him with CIA director Mike Pompeo. The relationship between Trump and Tillerson was turbulent at times, involving frequent disagreements and policy clashes. Tillerson was even reported to have called Trump a “f**king moron” last summer, a report he did not deny. Tillerson’s dismissal comes hot on the heels of Communications Director Hope Hicks announcing her resignation. As can be seen from the following infographic based on a USA Today report, Tillerson’s firing and replacement with Pompeo is only the latest staff shakeup at the White House.
